“Return to Innocence” by Enigma

“Euêtheia” was one of Hesiod’s “Ages of Mankind” in his TheogonyIt was the age of “innocence” when both humans and gods were young and naive. In the 15th century, Apollo wrote a poem in Greek that told the story of how the Olympians lost their divine powers and came to earth (Pantheon, ch. 2).  He used Hesiod’s term for his title.

The manuscript was only discovered in 1941, fortuitously rescued from the wreckage of the monastery at Devič in Serbia, which had been destroyed by Albanian soldiers during WWII.
